# Our Commitment to Community Engagement

At Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector 8 R.K. Puram, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community involvement among our students, staff and families. Through various initiatives and partnerships, we strive to create meaningful connections that enhance the educational experience and contribute to the well-being of our local community.

 Volunteer Programs – Excursions, Grandparents day, Cleanliness Drive, Book Donation, Bal Mela, etc.

Our school offers numerous opportunities for students and families to get involved through volunteer programs. These programs allow participants to give back to the community while developing important life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and empathy. Some of our volunteer initiatives include:

– **Excursions*: Students are taken to various educational tours by our vidyalaya at Amrit Udyan and Kidzania that develop many life skills such as leadership, sharing, event management among students.

– **Community Clean-Up Events**: Regular events where students, staff and families work together to beautify local parks and neighborhoods.

– **Book Donation Programmes**: Through Pustakopahar programme our vidyalaya commits to provide opportunities to its students to show compassion towards their peers and hence increase community values in them.
